For the past few years I have been involved with a couple home shows each year and have found it quite enjoyable.  As exhausting as a three day home show can be, I also find them invigorating.  What better way to renew my passion about my business than to spend three days talking with people that are genuinely interested in the process and my projects.  Sure it is also a pretty good marketing tool, but I think I get as much out of it personally as I do for my business.

In reviewing the past year and preparing for 2011, I asked myself why limit these conversation to a couple of home shows each year.  Why not start a blog and try to have these conversation year round.  So my goal here is to provide useful information to people thinking of building or remodeling a home or cabin in hopes of having more of those conversation.  With any luck, this blog will elicit questions and comments from you to keep the conversation going.  As I start out, I’ll write about some the common questions I get asked when going though the design and construction process.  But I would really like to hear from you.  What questions do you have?  Is there anything you have been wondering about but haven’t been able to find a good answer for?  I’ll be the first to tell you I don’t have all the answers, but if I don’t I’ll give you my 2 cents (for what it’s worth) and gladly do what I can to help you find someone with information you are looking for.
